Just a note to thank every one involved in the race on Sunday, only my second race after 2 years out, it was a tremendous event, very well organised and very enjoyable (apart from a couple of hills on the bike course).
I would like to say a particular thank you to your marshals who were terrific, the lady counting in the pool was helpful, cheerful and informative, those guiding us up the steps and path to T1 were encouraging and great fun, those in transition were helpful and in to the sprit and those out on both courses for such a long time deserve as much praise as possible, they were the best!
So please pass my thanks on to them all and to the organisers and those behind the scene!
Thank you and, all being well, see you next year

Hi Thames Valley Triathletes,
Thanks for organising a great triathlon today. I really enjoyed it.
Just one thing happened to me. I'm almost certain I swam 18 lengths instead of 16! I thought I'd finished the swim but the marshall told me I had 2 more lengths to go. It's really my fault as I under-predicted my
swim time (through over-optimism) and I was in with faster swimmers so I think the marshall missed me when someone overtook me at the turn. Oh well, I'll get my time prediction right next time. But as I've swum
1500m in 31 minutes I think 10m19s for 400m is a bit slow!
Still it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the race and I should be able to beat my 400m time next year.
With kind regards, Jonathan Ashley.
